CONDOCK Befrachtungs-Gesellschaft mbH & Co. KG has been part of the Harren & Partner Group since January 2008, thus expanding global corporate activities to include the fascinating CONDOCK vessels segment. The name CONDOCK is a combination of container and dock ship and thus describes the key characteristics. For example, the two dock ships "CONDOCK II" as well as "CONDOCK V" are primarily equipped for the world-wide shipment and transportation of floating units as well as oversized and heavy ro-ro cargoes with a maximum unit weight of 2.000 t and heavy-lift cargoes of up to 200 t. Bundling of core competencies: CONDOCK and K/S Combi Lift merge activities

The strategic joint venture K/S Combi Lift between the shipping companies J. Poulsen Shipping and Harren & Partner is a leading specialist in the business of sophisticated heavy lift and project shipment. Within a worldwide network of 7 offices and representatives in 11 countries, 50 employees guarantee excellent market access, whilst providing a top-quality and customised service to a constantly moving market – 7 days a week and 365 days a year. The modern fleet of 19 heavy lift and project vessels with crane capacities up to 900 tons sets standards and is optimized for the transport of production plants, power plant modules, refineries and dangerous goods.

The CONDOCK Befrachtungs-Gesellschaft based in Hamburg bundles over 30 years of experience in the shipping of floating units, oversized and heavy ro-ro cargoes. The CONDOCK team thereby offers the required knowledge as well as comprehensive chartering expertise for the transport of dredger fleets, river cruise liners or navy ships but also for sensitive goods such as pressurised tanks for offshore platforms or booster units for the aerospace industry.

Harren & Partner already took over CONDOCK Befrachtung-Gesellschaft mbH & Co. KG in the year 2008, thus pursuing the objective of expanding its position as market leader within the project / ro-ro market niche. The delivery of four innovative semisubmergers at the Bremerhaven-based Lloydwerft along with the acquired special-purpose fleet of the older CONDOCK-units has given rise to one of the largest suppliers for the shipping of floating cargoes.

Whilst the traditional brand CONDOCK initially remained in Hamburg, the activities of both companies kept growing together and from the beginning of May 2013 will be merged under the roof of Combi Lift. However, except for the address everything else remains the same for the customers: "Peer Kelch and Rüdiger Buchhorn will stay competent contact persons in the office of Combi Lift Chartering GmbH in Steinkirchen for specific issues and particular questions relevant to any shipment as well as share their knowledge with the group" says Sune Thorleifsson, Senior Project Director of Combi Lift. The technical management for the fleet is still provided by Harren & Partner in Bremen.
